Ethan Buckner - Lead organizer Ethan Buckner is an intern at the Will Steger Foundation. He is a recent Hopkins High School graduate and has deferred his matriculation at Vassar College for one year. As a senior at Hopkins, Ethan was a founder of the Youth Environmental Activists of Minnesota (YEA MN), a youth-led organization comprised of junior high and high school students working for sustainability. He is currently involved in TEAM MN and is engaged in the climate movement on a national level through the Sierra Student Coalition. Ethan enjoys lap tag, building forts, and making waffles.
Morgan Kiel - Finance Chair
Kai is a rising junior and environmental studies major at Macalester College, focusing on policy and community energy. He has been involved in a number of campus initiatives to build community empowerment and social capital while reducing carbon emissions. Kai has also helped build and reform TEAM MN, Minnesota's state network of student environmental organizations. Kai enjoys bison, giving high fives, and cooking.
Heather Buckner - Logistics Heather is a rising junior at Tufts University, majoring in environmental science and American studies. She is working as a summer intern at the Will Steger Foundation, doing whatever she can to help make MN Powershift awesome. In her spare time she enjoys midnight walks in the park, fog, and making guacamole. Angie Taffe - Outreach chair Angie is a recent graduate of the University of St. Thomas, located in St. Paul, Minnesota. Graduating with a degrees in Art History, Environmental Studies, and Justice and Peace Studies, she was an active member on campus with UST's Greenteam and the newly formed student coalition the Sustainability Committee on campus. Currently, she interning for the Sierra Club Northstar chapter working on land use and transportation issues planning the annual Tour de Sprawl event. She's looking for a full time job and looks to go back to school for sustainable design in architecture or city planning. Anybody hiring?
