Donate to Summer of Solutions As a people-powered program, the Summer of Solutions relies on people just like you for much of its funding base. We are working on major grants and tapping our colleges and local organizations for support, but since the economy tight, getting large scale funding is rough. The Summer of Solutions happens through people working with people, and we’re relying on your help to pull this off. Please help us out! The most important ways you can help us out would be to: You can choose to give online or by check: Donate Online (not tax-deductible) Donate By Check (tax-deductible option) Join Us as a Volunteer Fundraiser Donate Online (not tax-deductible) click for more details Online donations are the preffered method – you can do it right here and now with a credit or debit card through PayPal, and will receive 97.5% of your donation after processing fees. Online donations to Grand Aspirations are currently not tax-deductible. If you’re willing to have your donation dedicated to whichever program needs it most, use this button! If you want to target your donation to a specific program, use the buttons below!
Donate By Check (tax-deductible option) click for more details We can accept tax deductible donations by check through our fiscal sponsor, Global Exchange. We receive 93% of your donation after paying fiscal agency fees for tax-deductible contributions. We prefer to go through the tax-deductibility process only for large donations (roughly $100 or more), where tax deductibility makes a real difference, so that we can reduce paperwork and hassle for our team in St. Paul and our buddies at Global Exchange. And, if you make a non-tax-deductible donation by check (rather than donating without tax-deduction online), we will receive 100% of your donation. For tax-deductible donations: please write your check to "Grand Aspirations c/o Global Exchange" with "Summer of Solutions 2010" in the memo. For non-tax deductible donations: please write your check to “Grand Aspirations” with “Summer of Solutions 2010” in the memo. Please mail your check to: While we prefer donations to apply to any Summer of Solutions program so we can be flexible with budgeting, you may specify a local program to direct your donation to in the Memo: “Summer of Solutions 2010: {Local Program location}. We will direct funds so labeled to this program unless it is already fully funded. Along with your check, please note if you would like to be added to our email list to stay updated of our efforts, and list relevant contact info.
Grassroots fundraising really works because you donate, and then get a dozen friends to donate, and they get a dozen friends each to donate, and … you get the picture! Online savvy? It’s really easy to add the ChipIn buttons from the Online donation tools above to your own blogs or website, or social network sites like Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. The key thing is that you remember to be upfront about asking people for donations. Prefer to keep it simple? No problem: you can use the template emails, letters, and phone scripts below to invite your friends, family, and associates to help out! Either way, feel free to just use our fundraising materials as you see fit – or take an extra step and join us as a Volunteer Fundraiser. As a volunteer grassroots fundraiser, we’ll help you set a personal goal and a plan to make it happen, and integrate the tools you need to achieve it.
